Sitting up!

Evan is growing and developing so fast I feel I can hardly keep up with him! He's doing really well at sitting up. And we tried his first taste of rice cereal this week--but I'm not sure he's convinced it's so much better than what he's been getting. Any tips or tricks to get them to eat it from you seasoned mothers out there?

I gave Nathan the baby oatmeal. It is a little sweeter than the rice and easier in the digestion. You can also mix the ceral with a little juice to make it taste better.

Rhylan hated the rice cereal but she did like other flavors. I think she like the mixed or barley flavors better. But it took a while before more was going in than was coming out!!

oh yes--I forgot the other falvors. Give those a try. Just remember not to give him anything to sweet to start with. Even like applesauce or a fruit sometimes ruin their little taste buds for veggies. I think they say to start with a veggie--right? I don't know, it has been to long.

What are you mixing it with. Sometimes breastmilk, which they are used to, can work better. Eli never ate rice cereal. Kiah didn't have it as her first food, but she liked it when she had it.

It just took my kids some time. None of them loved it the first time around.

Yeah, I'm so excited to see him sitting up. Morgan didn't like plain rice cereal either. She liked the banana flavored kind and then when she was six months, I would mix juice with the regular kind and she ate that fine. Good Luck!
